Botox & Dysport Pre-Care
A few simple steps before your appointment can help minimize bruising, improve comfort, and support the most beautiful result.
- Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, and other blood-thinning supplements for 7 days before treatment unless prescribed by your physician.
- Avoid alcohol for 24–72 hours before your appointment.
- Avoid excessive caffeine and salty foods for 24–48 hours before treatment.
- Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, and other resurfacing treatments for 2 weeks before your appointment.
- Pause retinoids, glycolic acid, and other potentially irritating skincare products for 5–7 days before treatment.
- If you have a history of cold sores, please let us know before your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin whenever possible.
- Stay well hydrated and eat a light meal before your appointment.
- Please inform us of any recent illness, vaccinations, dental work, or changes to your health history.
Botox & Dysport Post-Care
Your skin is settling beautifully in the hours after treatment. These gentle reminders help support comfort and your final result.
- Remain upright for 4 hours following treatment.
- Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and excessive heat for 24 hours.
- Avoid facials, facial massage, laser treatments, and microneedling for 2 weeks.
- Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or small bumps at the injection sites are normal and typically resolve quickly.
- Initial results may begin within 3–5 days, with full results developing over 10–14 days.
